About Simply Books
Simply Books is a quality independent bookshop, stocking a wide and varied range of books for every age and interest. What we don’t have in stock we will order for you at no extra cost and will, in the majority of cases, have it for you the next day.
We offer outstanding customer service and we are helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. We enjoy chatting about books and we love to help people choose books for themselves and others.
Simply Books is more than just a bookshop. We organise a variety of events from our weekly children’s storytime to writing groups, reading groups, poetry evenings, children’s holiday activities, author talks and signings, children’s parties and much more.
Many of our events take place in our upstairs Reading Room which when not in use for events is open to our customers to sit down with a Fairtrade hot drink and browse through a selection of book magazines and reviews. If customers are having difficulty making a final decision they are welcome to take their selection upstairs to decide at their leisure. There is even a play area for children and Wi-Fi access.
